The Democratic party is currently in the midst of some heated debates when it comes to healthcare policies. It is a hot button topic for this upcoming election. Every candidate is looking to put their own unique spin on it. While everyone is already aware of where Bernie Sanders stands on this, the other candidates are drawing different lines in the sand.
For example, there are other candidates who are looking to counter Bernie by asking for a more moderate approach to this issue. That is understandable enough and this is how the party has usually operated in the past. Mayor Pete is a different sort of guy, though. He does not care about sticking a finger in the eye of the liberals who are looking to the government for help.
He was asked about the topic recently and we are not going to lie to you….even we were shocked by how callous he is. Mayor Pete has allowed his tenure as the mayor of a tiny, crumbling Midwestern city to go to his head. During a recent campaign event, he finally decided to let the world know how he really feels about the prospect of millions losing their health insurance.
Can you believe that this joker flat out said that he doesn’t care? We wish that we were paraphrasing but nope, those are his exact words on the topic. Democratic candidates may not have the same views on the matter but they all seem to want a better life for their constituents.
Mayor Pete is not among them, though. Elizabeth Warren has already backpedaled, too. At first, she was pretending to have far left policies like Bernie’s. Before long, she showed her true colors as well. Now, she is singing a completely different. Her Medicare For All plan is not going to be enacted until after the midterm elections have taken place.
While she is already playing to the moderates, Mayor Pete is not. He is a man with his own plan. Even the true moderates like Biden and Klobuchar want to overhaul the insurance market. Perhaps Pete sees an opportunity to play to a Democratic voter that does not want things to be changed much at all. If an insurance system was run by the government, he does not see why he should have to care.
“To be honest, I don’t care,” said Mayor Pete when asked. We are floored but at least he’s being honest. This is probably the most honest thing that he has said so far. All he’s done is lie his way to the top of the polls and it is only a matter of time before the bottom falls out. That’s what always happens to charlatans like Mayor Pete.
After all, it is much harder to fool all of America. Maybe the citizens of South Bend fell for his antics but the rest of the nation is not going to go for it. The media might view him as a moderate but these opinions do not seem very moderate to us. Come on to the right side, Mayor Pete. We would be more than happy to have you.

While Pete Buttigieg is talking about health care at #CNNTownHall, here’s a clip of him admitting this week that he doesn’t care if Americans private health care plans “fail.”
His goal is Medicare For All, and everyone better just stay out of his way.

Don't be fooled by what Pete Buttigieg just said regarding the 180 million Americans who would lose their health insurance plans because of Medicare for All.
Buttigieg doesn't care about them. He said so himself.

All jokes aside, millions of Americans should never have to go without health care. It does not matter which party is in power. 180 million Americans stand to lose out if Mayor Pete is able to win and it is sad. While most observers do not think that he has a real chance, there is something to be said for having a modicum of decency on the campaign trail.
Even Joe Biden wouldn’t dare to say something this rude in public. We wouldn’t be surprised if he echoes Mayor Pete’s sentiments in private but that is a whole different story. Buttigieg may not care about this but we are going to go out on a huge limb and say that the people who are going to lose their healthcare probably do. It’s just a hunch that we have.
We are not nearly as smart as the great and all knowing Mayor Pete. Why, he’s run a small town into the ground and somehow parlayed that into an outside chance at the presidency. There is something to be said but we are trying not to be too rude here. Sometimes, it is best to leave well enough alone.
The voters on the left who are going to be victimized by his policies will learn soon enough. If he keeps talking like this, the early success he has experienced during the primary process is going to seem like a distant memory before too long. This video just might the one that digs his hole.
