This Alabama Woman Was Kidnapped and the Bodycam Footage Is Harrowing

Kidnaping

This is the story of an Alabama woman who was saved in the nick of time from a horrific fate. She was kidnapped and her prospects were bleak. We cannot even begin to imagine the level of fear that she was experiencing. The Brookside Police Department was able to intervene before it was too late, though. Now, you will have the chance to see the body cam footage for yourself.

We must warn you, it is harrowing. Sean E. Sanders is the suspected kidnapper and he had the woman trapped in the back of a van, in a cage. The woman was removed from the van by authorities and Sanders was dragged out not too long afterwards. When police initially arrived on the scene, they attempted to negotiate with Sanders. The woman had already been held at knife point for roughly an hour.

After the negotiations broke down, the officers had no choice but to storm the van. It was their only chance of making sure that they were able to remove the woman while she was still alive. We shudder to think of what may have happened otherwise. These officers deserve a great deal of kudos for their courageous actions.

This incident took place on a Sunday and a churchgoing citizen was responsible for spotting the kidnapped woman. The witness spotted the kidnapper trying to drag the woman away. They alerted the authorities and played a key role in saving the woman’s life. Once they saw the woman being forced into the van, they followed the vehicle and remained in contact with the police.

The van was taken to a church parking lot. Officers spotted Sanders forcing the woman down and she was bleeding at the time. Once the officers tried to make their way into the vehicle, Sanders attempted to run them over. At this time, they knew that more force would be needed if they were going to be able to save this woman’s life.

They engaged in pursuit and were able to catch up to the man. From there, shots were fired. This allowed the officers to disable the van and successfully barricade it. Sanders realized he was surrounded and took the woman into the back. The doors of the van had been chained shut from the inside and there was no way for the officers to see the interior of the vehicle.

As the body cam footage that you are about to see will show you, the officers had the vehicle surrounded. They were forced to draw their weapons and the victim’s terrified screams can be heard from the interior. The windows were destroyed with hammers and trapped dogs were removed from the cab. Sanders was suicidal and could be heard encouraging the officers to kill him.

At this time, the officers knew that they had to make their move. The woman needed their help. They dragged the kidnapped woman out of the vehicle through the back window that they had smashed out and Sanders was struck with a taser. The woman is lucky to have survived this awful ordeal. She had been struck with a tire iron dozens of times but fortunately, she is expected to make a full recovery from her injuries.

Sanders was homeless at the time and was residing in the van at the time that this crime took place. He was charged with attempted murder and kidnapping. The man has an extensive history of committing crimes of this nature. This is not the first time that the man committed assault or engaged in kidnapping. His bond was set at $191,000 and with any luck, he will never be given the chance to walk the streets again.

Our deepest condolences go out to the woman who was kidnapped, as she does her very best to recover from this traumatizing incident. In a world where police officers do not always receive the credit that they deserve for keeping their communities safe, we are glad to see that these police personnel are getting their just dues. These officers deserve a great deal of kudos for the level of courage that they showed in assisting this woman.

These videos are a harsh reminder of the many dangers that Americans are facing today but they also remind us that there are brave police officers out there who are willing to protect us. We hope that Sanders is punished to the fullest extent of the law and not allowed to inflict those sort of damage on an innocent citizen ever again.

  1. People often ask me why I always carry a sidearm, if I am expecting trouble! No, I’m not expecting trouble, but trouble usually finds one when least expected. 24 years ago my side arm saved me from unexpected attack by a would be assailant weilding a tire iron! Didn’t have to shot the man, the sight of the .45 pointed at his face from about 2 feet was enough! My point? We are each responsible for our own safety. This woman is lucky to be alive, lucky someone spotted what was happening and lucky that someone got involved!

  2. Thank God they got her out in time! God Bless the officers and the person alerting the police …See Something Say Something. You just saved a life!!!

    • Mark my words! A liberal jdge will let him off. Due too him being neglected as a child.. and the woman wasn’t really a hostage, THEY WERE ROLE PLAYING! AND HE HAD NOT PAID HER YET, AND SHE STOLE HIS WALLET, HE WAS TRYING TO GET IT BACK. OR SHE INVITED HIM TO HER HOME FOR A DRINK THEN TRIED TOO ROB HIM. OR HE NEEDED A MOTHER FOR HIS SPERM. OR SHE WAS STALKING HIM, BECAUSE SHE WAS IN LOVE WITH HIM. GUARANTEE HIS LIBERAL LAWYER, AND THE JUDGE, WILL STRIKE A PLEA. SEND HIM TOO A SHRINK PUT HIM ON SONE GOOD DRUGS. IT WILL HAPOEN AGAIN AND POSDIBLY DID BEFORE THIS TIME. NEXT TIME WILL BE PERMANET DEAD

  3. HMMM, He used a “Tire Iron.” I think we need an investigation and we need controls on Tire Irons. Dis it come with a Bump Stock? How about big Magazine? It was absolutely an assault tire iron. Something must be done. Also, it appears the police were targeting him and he is black, so what’s up with that? We NEED an investigation!

  4. I didn’t read any comments about the person who first recognized the kidnapping. Didn’t they follow this van until
police caught up.? They were the biggest heros during this rescue.
