Socialism is nothing more than a sugar-coated word for Communism. Nobody plays the lie better than Democrats. The way around something evil is to paint over it with something that sounds good. Conservatives can see right through it because we know the truth. Republican Senator Steve Daines from Montana has proposed a resolution to put a stop to the dangers imposed by Socialism this past Monday on the Senate floor. He is also up for reelection in 2020 and is a strong supporter of President Donald Trump.
Senator Daines, ahead of the second Democratic Primary Debate, attacked the Democrats’ “Medicare for All” and the “Green New Deal.” These are the two most pushed agendas on the campaign trail for the Democratic nomination.
Daines stated, “We are at a pivotal time in our great nation’s history. We have shown the world time and time again the genius of American ingenuity and the grit of American determination. However, a radical, socialist, far-left movement is growing across this country. And it has taken root as the new voice of the Democratic Party. It was renowned economist Milton Friedman who said, ‘One of the great mistakes is to judge policies and programs by their intentions rather than their results. Radical Democrats are advocating for disastrous policies that would wreck our economy under the guise of cleaning up the environment.”
The resolution would make it official in the U.S. Senate that Socialism and Marxism are “failed ideologies.” It would praise capitalism as “the greatest engine for human advancement in the history of the world, bringing more people out of poverty and into prosperity than any economic model in the history of mankind.”
Senator Daines warned the Senate that the Green New Deal would cost Americans a fortune between 2020 and 2029 if it were to pass. According to an analysis of the legislation from the American Action Forum, the components alone would cost Americans $52,000 to $72,000 per household.
Medicare for All, which is the newest proposal from the Democrats, would take over the entire health care system worse than Obamacare ever did. The estimate given by the Committee for a Responsible Budget would cost America $28 to $32 trillion over a decade. And they complain Republicans spend too much? Senator Bernie Sanders, the author of the proposal, said the middle-class taxpayers would fork the bill through raising taxes.
Senator Daines laid it all out on the table by saying the United States had “two paths to take, with one leading to freedom, and the other, complete government control, undermining our constitution and our American way of life.” There is 53 percent of the Democratic candidate voters who support socialism, and it sounds pretty scary.
Senator Daines stated, “My grandpa was a Democrat from Billings, Montana. If he was around today, he would be appalled at some of the things the far left is saying and advocating for. The words and actions of certain radical members of the Democratic House highlight this new standard for the Democratic Party.”
An excerpt can be pulled from the resolution proposed by Senator Daines. One can say how well it was written to the effect anyone can see with eyes what is going on with the Democrats and the road they want to take America down. “Whereas the United States is the single greatest country in the history of the world, due in large part to its system of government that secures the private property rights of all citizens through the genius of the Constitution of the United States; and Whereas, on February 5, 2019, in the State of the Union address, President Donald J. Trump declared (1) ‘‘We are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country;’’ and (2) ‘‘America will never be a socialist country.’’
It also goes on to describe socialism in detail, “Resolved, That the Senate acknowledges that Marxism and socialism are failed ideologies; recognizes that socialism poses a significant threat to the freedom, liberty, and economic prosperity of all countries and people around the world; accepts that socialism is a failed experiment of governance that inevitably ends in misery and suffering; declares that, throughout the history, tradition, and national civic spirit of the United States, the United States has been a beacon of light shining like a lighthouse to the rest of the world, demonstrating that freedom and liberty are the surest foundation of government; and affirms that the United States should never be a socialist country.”
