Since former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe was fired last year, he has been keeping himself quite busy, mainly criticizing Trump and his administration. He began working for CNN as a contributor, and he has also written several books. And now, he has decided to run with the big dogs, doing the bidding of Democrats and fundraising for their party.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, the fired McCabe is to headline a fundraising event on September 21 for the Lancaster County Democratic Committee. The event will give him ample time to do what he loves best: badmouth our president and all who work for him. And this time he will have a much more captive audience, not that they will complain much.
The event is to be held at the Lancaster County Convention Center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and it will cost $80 to get in the door.
Once there, members of the audience are expected to hear all about McCabe’s interactions with Donald Trump, the “Russian meddling” of 2016, the firing of former FBI director James Comey, the investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller, and of course McCabe’s extreme distaste for all things Trump-related.
He will also be selling his latest, autographed book titled “The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump” for $32.50.
For the sake of all those in the audience, let’s hope that McCabe will still be walking around as a free man for the next two weeks or so. If the New York Times’ sources are correct, federal prosecutors are supposedly getting very close to deciding on the possible indictment of the former FBI agent for lying to federal agents.
And the irony has not been lost on Trump campaign deputy communications director Matt Wolking. He made sure to point out his possible soon incarceration on Twitter this week, saying, “CNN Contributor Andrew McCabe will headline a Democrat Party fundraiser in Pennsylvania on September 21.”
And he continued, “Interesting decision by the party, betting that he won’t be criminally charged sometime in the next 2.5 weeks.”
Interesting choice indeed. It’s one thing to hire someone who was recently fired from their job. But it is another thing entirely to do so for a man who is currently under investigation by the Department of Justice for lying.
It says quite a bit about the party itself if you ask me. What it means is that, apparently, Democrats condone lying, stealing information, and cheating. They don’t care how the job is done, just so long as they get what they are after.
On the other hand, McCabe has had strong ties to the Democratic Party for some time. He and his wife have been long-time friends of the Clintons, after all.
In 2015, then-Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, another close friend to Clinton, was running for state Senate. McCabe’s wife, Jill, was given $500,000 from her PAC to help finance the run (she lost). So naturally, when the FBI was running an investigation on Clinton herself, McCabe was quick to clear her name and give her a free pass.
And then, there is the fact that McCabe himself plotted against Trump in the 2016 election and was in so deep with Comey, then-FBI lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, and others that he had to be labeled as a Democrat.
It’s just too bad he and his lies were found out. And not a day too late. He was fired one day before he would have become eligible to earn a pension through the FBI.
Understandably, everyone has a political opinion of some sort. We may have hopes of a particular person winning or not winning an election. We may also not always agree with those who are in charge. But that does not give us the right to commit crimes, lie, and cheat just to make our political dreams come true.
And for a member of law enforcement of any kind, including the FBI, this is especially true. McCabe’s job was to hold justice and honor for our nation above all else, and he failed.
Now, his lies have caught up with him, leaving him pension-less, always in search of a job and money, oh, and did we mention, he is facing a criminal trial?
It’s no wonder those liberal ninnies want to help support him. After all, he lost it all on their failed cause.
